Happy Birthday Louise!   You have become so strong in the 2 years.  it’s amazing how far you have come.  Remember when you were using the 15 pound bar for presses?  No more!  You can see by Louise’s body, that you can be strong and lean.  Working out with CrossFit, does not make you look like a man!  Louise is a wonderful part of our CrossFit family, bringing her great attitude and enthusiasm to every workout. Here is what Louise had to say about her experience with us:

When I was first introduced to Crossfit it all started with a pamphlet and a simple query from Shelly Pankhurst….”hey do you want to try this bootcamp?” After some 20 years of working out at the local gym I figured easy peasy….no problem.

That was almost 2 years ago and boy did I learn very quickly that Crossfit isn’t your typical workout. There are no mirrors, everyone comIMG_8430es in different shapes, ages and sizes. The class is intimate with a feeling of one to one attention from the caring and attentive coaches. Speaking of the coaches…what a great source of information and drive; always pushing me to exceed.

I love the challenge of perfecting the WODS, AMRAP and PR….of course I had to have a quick lesson to understand these acronyms. Everyday is different which keeps it fun. I make a point of not checking the website so I can be surprised for the next day workout. Personally I feel stronger everyday. Keeping a log of your weights used or your personal best is a great way to push for more. Whether it’s tossing some ginormous tires, sledging a hammer or climbing rope the results are showing. I feel energetic and alive! Especially when I finally got 2 double unders….in a row! A big deal for me!!! So what’s next? More double unders and handstand push-ups. For anyone considering Crossfit…do it! You’ll love it!!!

Thank you Louise for your kind words. We love you too!
