We take being part of the community very seriously here at CrossFit Pickering.
We are fortunate enough to have a community of like minded individuals who have the resources to make a commitment to our wellness that many can’t. As such we are planning a fundraiser on Saturday June 3rd to benefit Big Brothers and Sisters.
Watch for the sign up sheets on the new bulletin board this week. You can commit to 100,250, 500, 1000 burpees. We ask that you make a contribution of not less than $10 to participate in this fun event. If you have family members, neighbours, friends, dogs, who want to participate…bring them too! the more the merrier. We will have lots of games within the challenge to keep up the energy level…there are more than one kind of burpee dontcha know!
How about making a team and making a big commitment to others in the box to outdo your number. A Burpee Throwdown. Maybe your team is your family…Mom, Dad, the Kids…

Todays WOD is a high intensity nugget I found as a portion of daily training on the CompTrain (Ben Bergeron) site. Bergeron is the coach du jour of CrossFit right now with many of his athletes favoured to win their regionals over the next three weekends and then make serious runs at this years CrossFit Games in August.
