“‘Cause there’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb”
Sorry, not Sorry.

Welcome to another exciting round of PRACTICE!
If you haven’t clued in yet, I’ve got a big of a passion going for practice, skill work, and progressions lately.
Today’s super fun adventure is…
you guessed right…
ROPE CLIMBS!!!
EMOM x 10
Rope Climb for Speed
For those who do not know how to rope climb welcome to your practice session.
You will have a minimum of 10 minutes to work with the coach on foot placement.
Yup, JUST FOOT PLACEMENT
Because, here’s a little secret, rope climbs are actually very easy ONCE you’re confident in your foot placement and grip strength.
No one wants to be unsure once they’re 10 feet up in the air.
So in order to learn to rope climb you need to practice, practice, practice FOOT PLACEMENT.
See abovementioned video by the one and only Ben Bergeron on practicing with intent.
It’ll change your world.
BONUS AEROBIC CAPACITY TRAINING
4-6 x 200m row
2:00 rest between rounds
Your goal is to hit a consistent time and pace EVERY ROUND
That means DO NOT go all out in the first couple or you’ll sink in the last two (see what I did there?)
