This is your feel good story of today. When we as coaches change your lives for the better, it is the most rewarding feeling. This lady’s story is awesome!
“I wasn’t meant to see my 50th birthday. If I did, I was going to be so impaired that I would have probably been on dialysis. I could have been blind. It was highly likely that I’d have one limb amputated, and I’d be experiencing huge cardiac and circulatory problems. That surgery waiting list did me a favor.”
Ellen Downey from Wales, U.K., had Type 2 diabetes and was obese. She’d exhausted dietary advice and methods to help her lose weight. She’d shift a few pounds at a time, but it was always just a temporary fix.
Her health was so poor that she was starting to have serious complications with one of her legs and was told that, given time, the limb would almost certainly need to be amputated. This and her poorly controlled blood sugar resulted in complications and qualified her for bariatric surgery.
