Today we do “the 300”!!! “The 300”, while not originally a CrossFit workout, did use the same style of functional training. It was originally used by the stuntmen training with Gym Jones for the 2007 film “300,” to help them achieve the “Spartan look.” The workout has since been adopted as a popular benchmark workout by CrossFitters and functional fitness athletes around the globe.

Gym Jones first posted the workout online, on March 6, 2007, along with more details about the training regimen the actors followed.

WOD: “300”
25x Pull-ups
50x Deadlift @ 135lbs
50x Push-ups
50x Box Jump @ 24” box
50x Floor Wiper @ 135lbs
50x KB Clean and Press @ 36lbs
25x Pull-ups
