well duh! We knew that already, but nice to have the study to back it up…
We know that exercise is good for your health and generally helps you live longer.
In fact, we’ve seen before that a certain type of exercise can make your body act like it’s nine years younger.
But a brand new study out of the Cleveland Clinic reveals that pure workaholics–many of whom are the type of people who never find the time to exercise–are creating worse conditions for themselves than some of the worst health habits and most common fatal conditions known to humankind.
About three times as bad as smoking in some cases, according to the study.
And more tips from our friend:
TIP #18:
CHOOSE FIVE MINUTES A DAY OVER AN HOUR A WEEK
The way our brains grow – incrementally, a little each day, even as we sleep. Daily practice, even for five minutes, nourishes this process, while more occasional practice forces your brain to play catch-up.
TIP #19:
DON’T DO “DRILLS.” INSTEAD, PLAY SMALL, ADDICTIVE GAMES
Skills improve faster when they’re looked at this way.
If it can be counted, it can be turned into a game.
