This is something else we all knew. For any of you who suffer from depression or anxiety you already know that exercise helps so much!
A new research analysis suggests that moderate aerobic exercise may be one of the most effective approaches available for treating major depression. It’s the latest in a convincing docket of research showing that exercise, perhaps more than any other single method, can serve as a curb against a tenacious condition that affects millions, with tens of thousands of new patients added every year.
The study was a meta-analysis of several clinical trials involving just over 450 patients with an age range between 18 and 65. The researchers selected 11 trials in total, culled from a larger group of studies. Across the trials, participants did about 45 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise three times a week for a little over nine weeks.

HERO WOD – JENNIFER – Canadian 1st Class Constable Jennifer Kovach of Guelph, Canada, died March 14, 2013, when her squad car was involved in a motor-vehicle accident while she was responding to a call for service. The 26-year-old fulfilled her dream of becoming a police officer serving her community and the Guelph Police Service for four years before her death. Kovach is survived by her mother, Gloria; father, Bill; brother, Brian; grandparents, Chester and Elvira Janicki; boyfriend, Kyle Schlosser; and many other friends and family.
