If you have questions about the OPEN – First read my 2 emails I sent out to everyone…  THEN. if you still have questions read below:

Thursday, FEB 21  is the beginning of the OPEN.  have you signed up on the board or/and online?  Ask anyone who has ever done the OPEN and they will tell you it’s awesome. do it. it’s fun!  Even if you’re new!    Dave Castro announces the WOD thursday night at 8 pm each week.  Then all crossfit athletes who are part of the OPEN do the WOD. This year it will start with 19.1  ( last week we did a bunch of Past OPEN wods – it will be very similar to that)

For 5 weeks – starting with Friday, Feb 22 –  6 am to Monday night 6 pm you have the opportunity to do the wod.    Scores must be entered by 8 PM monday  night ( if you’re signed up online) if not write it on the team sheets on the wall. ….  You will have another athlete judge you and you will judge athletes.  IT boils down to making sure the athlete is meeting movement standards, and counting reps for the athlete.   If you’re not officially registering and have injuries, you can do it modified if need be.

The BIG Event will be held on Friday nights. If you can come to that, DO!  Kind of like the League.  Great energy and loads of fun.  Afterwards, everyone gets together at a local pub for food and drinks.  There will be a 4:30 PM class running during that time. No 5:30 class. Main event is at 6 pm. Arrive early to warm up.

This friday, I will put together TEAMS – Randomly.  Once you’re on a team, the team Captain will be contacting you to talk about Team name and swag.  make sure you write down your t-shirt/tanktop size on the sign up sheet.  Last year each team created a FB group to talk about everything to do with the OPEN.  Ryan might have to bite the bullet and sign up on FB!

TEAM points have nothing to do with performance and everything to do with SPIRIT and FUN.   Each week we will have a theme for the Wod.  It might be Pajama day, Super hero…. etc.

makes sense now?
