This year the first event is:
1-mile swim with fins
I wonder how many athletes actually trained for a kayak event! Tom would destroy this workout, he’a an incredible swimmer and a competitive kayaker. maybe next year! 😉
The Crossfit games happen every year at the end of July and beginning of August. This is what we would call the Olympics of Crossfit where the fittest in the world get crowned.

The CrossFit Games are the ultimate proving grounds for the fittest athletes on Earth and are world-renowned as the definitive test of fitness. The 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games will mark the 15th year of worldwide competition, which has included athletes from more than 120 countries.
This year, thousands of fans will be in attendance at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin, watching all the action live. If you are unable to attend the Games in person, we’ve got you covered with many ways to stream the competition, including online and network TV options.

This year you can also join the Virtual Competition:
The 2021 Virtual Games give you an opportunity to test yourself across a series of workouts that run parallel to the events in the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games.
This new, multiple-workout challenge is for any and all who want to test their fitness and see where they measure up against peers across the globe. Need to scale? You are welcome to complete each workout as prescribed or modify as needed.
All registrants will receive an exclusive event T-shirt, with those who post scores for every workout receiving the designation “Virtually a Games athlete.”
Registration opens July 8, 2021. Scores must be submitted no later than Aug. 3, 2021, at 12 p.m. PDT.
