I played competitive hockey from age 6 through my late teens, then men’s league into my 40s. I've always been adept at various sports. Around 2014, I realized I was "soft". Feeling outperformed in hockey, I turned to CrossFit.
After seeing my family's enthusiasm, I joined a Boot Camp and quickly got hooked. CrossFit transformed my life, igniting a passion for the Open and the Games. In 2018, attending the Games in Madison reinforced my commitment, leading me to pursue becoming a CF Level I Trainer.
When the opportunity arose to purchase CFP, I knew it was my next step. Ownership has been immensely fulfilling, allowing me to refine my programming skills. Witnessing athletes' progress, from Bootcamp to tackling challenging WODs like CrossFit Total or Fran, is incredibly rewarding. I'm dedicated to continuously improving CFP.

When I was growing up I had a background in track, baseball and I studied karate for many years. When I stopped those, I was in search of something I’d been missing. In 2013 I found CrossFit. I did my first WOD, The 12 Days of Christmas, and that was it. I was hooked!
I’d been missing things, such as being competitive with myself, being constantly challenged in ways I hadn’t been before, and finding the discipline to push myself. Pretty soon after that, I found the desire to push others through the same journey I’d taken. In 2016 I started coaching. That became a passion of mine, wanting to see others improve their health and push themselves past their perceived limitations.

CrossFit found me in the winter of 2010 (February). We desperately needed each other, and it’s been a whirlwind love-affair ever since. I came to CrossFit severely overweight and under fit. With a lot of hard work, I came out on the other side in the best shape of my life. I dramatically improved my strength and endurance, cardio, power, balance, and have never been fitter in my life.
I truly believe in the power of this fitness system. YOU CAN TOO!!! I am committed to becoming a truly fit individual and helping others to bring fitness and balance into their lives. I will compliment you, befriend you, motivate you, coach you, shout at you if that’s what you need, and anything else in between that you may require to reach your personal fitness goals. As a trainer, I seek to teach CrossFit and all its components to anyone who is willing, and to also help build our community of like-minded individuals. I’m dedicated to using my 12 plus years of CrossFit and Weightlifting coaching experience to help you along the path to finding your peak physical fitness.

Trainer, Olympic Coach
I have always been involved in some sort of organized sport; rowing, volleyball, rugby, and thrived on the team aspect of those sports. When I “retired” from competitive rugby, I continued to go to the big box gyms to train because I still enjoyed the workouts, but I really missed the team training.
One day in 2009, I stumbled upon CrossFit and attended a free class. I was hooked.I love coaching CrossFit because I am inspired by the athletes who come in to train. They make me want to be a better coach. I enjoy the technicality of the Oly lifts, the shear power of the deadlift, and the grace of the gymnastic moves.

Growing up, I was small and skinny but found my strength and confidence through weightlifting, which my dad introduced me to in high school. This early experience in fitness laid the groundwork for my love of sports and significantly boosted my self-esteem.
I discovered CrossFit and was instantly captivated by the intense workouts, the camaraderie, and the thrill of setting new personal records. The community at CFP and the insights I've gained from coaches and peers have been transformative, fostering my confidence to lead and inspire others in this field.
In 2016, I began coaching, driven by a passion to provide athletes with insights that enhance their performance and fitness journey. I cherish the opportunity to help others experience breakthroughs and push past their limits, just as I have. Coaching has become a source of joy and fulfillment in my life, allowing me to give back to the community that has given so much to me.

I have been involved in Sports and Fitness since I was a child. Competitive swimming, football, hockey, Aussie rules football and waterpolo. I have been going to the gym since high school doing weight routines of various kinds. After seeing the movie “The 300″ I looked into Crossfit, as it was the style of training they used to get in such phenomenal shape.
The more I trained with CrossFit, the more I was blown away by how efficient the training was, workouts taking less than 30 mins and by how STRONG you can get. I wasn’t this strong when I was 20!! Now I enjoy teaching others this training style so they also can see the results I have.

I started with CrossFit Pickering after 8 years of CrossFit training and 6 years of coaching experience as a certified Level 2 CrossFit Coach. Growing up, I was always drawn to sports, health, and wellness. I played competitive hockey and was fortunate to earn an NCAA scholarship in the United States.
I began my CrossFit journey in 2017 simply wanting to get more fit, but I quickly discovered that what makes this sport truly special is the incredible community and support among athletes.
Whether it’s helping someone achieve their first ring muscle-up or perfect their air squat, I’m passionate about guiding athletes toward progress every single day. Seeing them leave the box happier, stronger, and more determined to return is what motivates me as a coach.

From a young age, I watched my dad lift weights in our tiny basement and quickly joined in. We both loved the challenge of pushing ourselves to the limit. When he discovered CrossFit, he joked that he had invented it—and we were instantly hooked. That early experience sparked my lifelong love for health and fitness and inspired my career as an Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant, working in the stroke and neurology department at Sunnybrook.
I’ve been doing CrossFit since 2017 and coaching since 2018. I love how it builds confidence, strength, and resilience—not just for me, but for every athlete I coach. Helping others move past their limits and achieve their goals is what drives me every day.
