After no blood and no tears, but lots of sweat, our two months of working out for CrossFit Confessions are up.
But it’s not the last time I’ll work out at CrossFit Pickering. I’m officially hooked, and plan to continue challenging myself there.
How couldn’t I? I can now run five kilometres. I have gone from deadlifting 115 pounds to 135 pounds in a matter of weeks. I can do double-unders, and wallballs — my least favourite exercise of all time (besides planks and pushups) — are getting easier.
But this doesn’t mean CrossFit will be a breeze from here on out. That’s the beauty of it: the continuous ability to challenge oneself.
Next, I’ll see if I can deadlift 140 pounds and up. I’ll aim to do 10 double-unders in a row, and I’ll see if I can do that five-kilometre run with fewer walking breaks.
